Surf Lessons
Are 2 hours long, and consist of some safety basics, practice on the shore, and then into the shallow waters for some standing up practice in the white foam. The time for the lesson will be according to the tides that day. If you are a beginner, the best time is when it is low tide.
Horseback riding
You can choose to have a nice ride on the beach or up on the mountains, or if you prefer a more adventurous ride - crossing the bongo river in Manzanillo.
Atv
We can also help you reserve an ATV so you can explore Santa Teresa, and the surrounding beaches and towns!

Snorkeling in Turtle Island
This is a full day tour. Departing from Montezuma, you’ll take a 50-minute boat ride to Isla Tortuga. Upon arriving to the island, you will have two stops for snorkeling, and after, lunch on the white sand beach of the island; the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. You will have the chance to see turtles, stingrays, dolphins, and many different kinds of fish!
Jungle Tour
Our Guided Jungle Tour is great for nature enthusiasts. The tour guide is an experienced and knowledgeable biologist, with so much to share! He will take you to Curu Wildlife Refuge for a scenic walk, followed by a trip to Montezuma where you can zip line over the waterfalls (not included in the price). It’s an amazing tour, and definitely a must do!
Zip Line
You have two options to go zip lining. One is just about 15 min from Cale Casitas in Malpais. This canopy ride is nearly a mile long and has 11 platforms. This is available every day at 9:00, 11:00 and 15:00 hr. The second option is in Montezuma, about 45 min from Cale Casitas, and consists of a series of 9 cables and 13 platforms suspended high above the forest floor. During the tour there will be one stop at the famous waterfalls where you can take pictures and go for a swim in the pools carved by the cascading waters. Their schedule is 9:00, 13:00 and 15:00 hr.

Hi Luqui and Leo, thank you for your warm hospitality during our 4 week stay. Our Casita was really comfortable and felt like a home away from home. We particularly enjoyed lazing around on our day bed and having a leisurely breakfast out on our deck after a surf or a long walk along the beautiful Santa Teresa beach across the road. We have now returned to Australia and can't stop thinking about our stay at Cale Casitas. We hope to return someday soon.
